2. Data we process
We process browsing and security data (IP addresses, technical logs and sessions), account details (name, email, optional phone and hashed password), language preferences, association information, adoption and foster (Stallo) listings, photos, locations, published contact details, messages, adoption applications, favorites, saved searches, reports and privacy requests.
3. Adoption and foster listings
When you publish a listing, its title, description, photos, location and contact information may be publicly visible. Email addresses and phone numbers entered for Stallo may be displayed to visitors. Only publish details you intend to make public; do not upload identity documents or sensitive third-party information.
4. Purposes and legal bases
We provide accounts, listings, messaging, contact and password recovery under GDPR Article 6(1)(b). Moderation, security and abuse prevention may rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)); legal duties on Article 6(1)(c). Optional processing requiring consent relies on Article 6(1)(a).
5. Emails and notifications
We send operational emails for verification, password resets, account security and requested services. Password reset links expire. Marketing messages require a separate lawful basis and consent where necessary.
6. Recipients and providers
Authorized personnel and necessary hosting, SMTP/email, maintenance, security and backup providers may process data. Processors must be governed by GDPR Article 28 where applicable. The controller must verify actual vendors and processing locations.
7. Cookies and Cookiebot
We use essential cookies and language preferences. Cookiebot provides consent controls for non-essential categories when present. Consult the Cookie Policy and consent panel for current details. Browser blocking of Cookiebot does not constitute consent.
8. Retention
Account information is processed while the service is used. Listings and photos remain while needed. Contact requests may be kept for approximately 24 months and security logs for 12 months, subject to verification of actual settings. Legal obligations and disputes may require longer periods.
9. Account deletion
You may request or initiate account deletion. Permanent deletion removes associated data and content according to the service implementation, including managed images. Certain records may need to be retained or anonymized to comply with law or protect third-party rights. Backups follow their retention cycle.
10. Your rights
Where applicable, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under GDPR Articles 15–21, and withdraw consent. Use the GDPR Rights Center or contact the controller.
11. Response times and complaints
We respond without undue delay, normally within one month, subject to lawful extensions. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante).
12. Security and transfers
We use access controls, password hashing and risk-based security measures. Transfers outside the EEA, if any, must comply with GDPR Chapter V and be verified with providers.
13. Children and changes
The service is not intended for independent use by minors who do not meet the Terms requirements. We update this notice when features, vendors or processing change.
