A story born from hands-on commitment to animals, now evolved into a platform designed to facilitate responsible adoptions throughout Italy.
ZampaCercaCasa grew from the experience of a group of OIPA volunteers active in South Tyrol, united by a commitment to animal welfare. Their local work involved helping dogs, cats and other animals in difficulty, working with shelters, foster families and veterinary facilities to support proper care and, whenever possible, permanent adoption.
To promote informed and responsible adoptions, give greater visibility to animals looking for a family and make contact easier between citizens, volunteers, associations, shelters and people interested in adopting.
The new ZampaCercaCasa expands the original idea into a nationwide digital platform. Its goal is to provide search, publishing and management tools that can be used across Italy while preserving the sense of responsibility on which the project was founded.
ZampaCercaCasa is dedicated to adoption and animal welfare. Listings must clearly describe the animal and its situation; the platform is not an animal marketplace.
Associations and shelters can request profile verification and use dedicated tools to manage animals looking for homes. Verification helps keep the platform orderly and trustworthy.
The reference to volunteer experience describes the project's origins. ZampaCercaCasa is not presented as OIPA's official national platform or that of any other organisation unless a formal relationship is established.
